      EAST BROOKFIELD -- The funeral service for Beatrice I. (Guyette) Salls, 101, of Paula Circle, formerly of Warren, who died Tuesday, Jan. 29, will be held at 8 p.m. Friday, Feb. 1, in Varnum Funeral Home, 43 East Main St., West Brookfield. Burial will be in Pleasant View Cemetery in Morristown, Vt., in the spring. Calling hours are 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, Feb. 1, in the funeral home.

      Her husband, Cecil E. Salls, died in 1956. She leaves a son, Darwin L. Salls of Athol; two daughters, Marie T. Comptois of Ware and Patricia C. Fenner of East Brookfield; a brother, Gleason Guyette of St. Johnsbury, Vt.; 12 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; six great-great-grandchildren; nephews and nieces. Several brothers and a sister predeceased her.

      She was born in North Wolcott, Vt., daughter of Charles and Bertha I. (Deyette) Guyette, and lived 40 years in Morrisville, Vt., and 54 years in Warren before moving to East Brookfield seven years ago. She graduated from Peoples Academy, Morrisville.

      Mrs. Salls was a homemaker and enjoyed gardening and cooking. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to VNA Care Hospice Inc., 120 Thomas St., Worcester, MA 01608.
