This site is an online database of the Salls Family. The initial source of information for this database was the book Salls Families of the United States and Canada, by Carroll M. Salls, Ph.D. It was written in Arlington, Virginia, in 1973, and published by Gateway Press, Inc., in Baltimore, Maryland. The book's Library of Congress Catalogue Card Number is 73-85163. This volume is long out of print, however copies are fairly easily obtained from on-line out-of-print book dealers, usually for $25. to $45. The information from Carroll's book has been updated, modified, and corrected through the help of dozens of you who have contributed to this database project. I hope you will all continue to contribute, such that someday we will not only have an accurate history of our family, but also a "current status".

Many of you will notice that the format and layout of this website has changed. We are now using a different software application to display the family information. This new software will allow us to include photos, documents, and other types of media as part of our family history. Please be aware, however that the GeneWeb version of the database is no longer being updated as of April 15, 2007.
